Titfer Tat ;)

How excited was I a couple of weeks ago when a ‘Titfer’ arrived in the post???

  Squuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! (not very :D)

Many of you will probably think I’m a complete loon for getting excited about what is essentially a woolly hat but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE anything to do with breastfeeding and as far as I’m concerned, Titfers really are the cherry on the cake.

The PERFECT present for any breastfeeding advocate.  I am even luckier than most since the fabulous Marnie, who hand knits these little beauties on Folksy, has given me one for Pooh Bear AND one for me!!!  Could it get any better?  They arrived just in time for the cold snap and are great little hats.  They are really well made and are not as thick as most winter hats which I think is absolutely perfect for the spring weather.  Pooh Bear has been wearing his Titfer most days to keep the breeze off him.  I have an array of winter hats which I always buy thinking I will definitely wear but never do – the novelty factor of the Titfer has seen me wearing it in the sunshine!!! :D

The brilliant thing about ordering a Titfer from Marnie is that you can pick your own colours.  You can be as obvious or discreet as you like or simply pick a Titfer which best matches your own boobies.  I won’t tell you the thinking behind my own colour choice ;)

Last weekend, I met up with my sister and Mum for a lovely morning ‘Down the Groves’ (as we say in Chester) for a Duck Race for Leukemia Research in the River Dee.  The weather was dry and pleasant but the breeze was pretty chilly so Pooh Bear was sporting his Titfer and Aunty Helen asked if she could wear mine since she too was feeling the chill.  Not wanting to miss a blogging op, I decided to stage an impromptu photo shoot.  I think the Titfers look great! And doesn’t Aunty Helen look maternal pretending to feed Pooh Bear.  We thought we might get away with it looking like she WAS breastfeeding but Pooh Bear was a little confused when we positioned him :D

In addition to her Folksy shop, Marnie loves a good chat on Twitter, so pop along, follow and let her know I’ve sent you.

I can’t wait to show off the hats at the next Breastfeeding Friendly Chester meet-up next week.  I will let you know how they go down :)

Disclosure: Although Marnie sent me the Titfers for me to review, I have written a completely honest review and it was an absolute pleasure.
