I Heart My Snap

I was faffing around on Google+ when I came across this linky via Mummy Daddy and Me makes three and it reminded me of this photo…

image

It was taken on my parents run-o-the-mill mobile on the boys first proper holiday together in September last year. Pooh Bear was only 5 months old and Spud loved visiting the ruins of Acton Burnell castle which was within walking distance of our accommodation.

I love it as, although they’re not perfectly posed, the boys are at least facing the camera and my Dad features. Grandad’s having a whale of a time even if the boys don’t appreciate having their pic taken :D He absolutely adores the boys and it was a lovely moment to capture :)

Why not pop over to

and see who else has linked up.

(apologies for lack of button. Writing this on phone but will add it once on a proper computer)

Spot the Difference

My now late Grandad was a sucker for buying tat and a lot of it made its way to Spud.  I actually quite like this Canvas Art he gave us and it hangs at the top of our stairs.  The silver birch trees remind me of sunny afternoons spent in our neighbours garden. As children, we were fascinated by the bark and mischievously peeled the trunks :p

Looking at the wood, I can imagine the little creatures who live there and the families taking walks.  This got me thinking and when I read a copy of this Christmas’ Radio Times, the artist in me jumped with glee!

Can you spot the difference???

Nope?

Need a clue?

He has terrible tusks…

and terrible claws …

and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws…

The look on Spud’s face when I showed him The Gruffalo had moved in was priceless! His little eyes were like saucers. Only thing is, he was looking for ‘mouse’ so it would seem my work is not quite done on this one.
