Saturday was the perfect day. The morning was spent meeting up with a friends at ‘The Big Latch On’ as part of World Breastfeeding Awareness Week.
Women across the world came together at the same time to ‘latch on’ and breastfeed for one minute. Pooh Bear doesn’t usually feed out and about but he just about managed the full minute. There’s way more interesting stuff for a two year old to be doing!
On the walk home Pooh Bear had a snooze whilst Spud and I were nature spotting.
We also saw lots of cabbage white butterflies which, since going to Speke Hall, the boys have been counting enthusiastically. Have you ever seen an angry squirrel? We weren’t able to get a photo but he was really annoyed about something judging by the noise he was making!
Next was an eagerly awaited birthday party for Spud. He had a brilliant time with his friends from pre-school and it was really nice for them to catch up.
When we got home the boys had a few hours playing with Daddy before he was off to work then it was bedtime.
Pooh Bear was already snoring away when Spud and I were brushing his teeth. As we were leaving the bathroom he looked at me funny.
“Mummy, you’ve got a breadstick in your hair!”
I looked in the mirror to find a sticky lollipop stick swinging from what was my clean hair. I have no clue how long it had been living in my hair for. You know you’re a Mummy when your idea of fashion is an icky, sticky lolly stick!
Spud took a photo of me looking a wally…
Ha ha, amusing end to the perfect day.
