Hoorah! Today it snowed hard enough and long enough to stick, much to Spud’s amazement. He’s been desperate to see some of the white stuff since Christmas and all the snowy scenes on TV, Christmas cards and in books etc.
Today was the day and it was also the first time Pooh Bear has seen snow.
We got the sledge out and the boys loved it until…
…Scatty Dad ignored my warnings not to try and tip them out of the sledge whilst pulling them and Pooh Bear, whose hands were getting chilly by now, ended up with a face quite literally full of snow (he refused to wear gloves and isn’t quite at an age where we can fully negotiate yet).
Daddy got an ear full and Pooh Bear and I retired inside to watch something dinosaur related before we had chance to make anything out of snow. Here’s hoping it snows tonight and our garden will be a blank canvas again in the morning :)
This post is linking up to Childcare is Fun’s Snowtastic linky and also Coombe Mill’s Country Kids so if you’re nosey like me, pop over and see what everyone else has been getting up to.

Lovely collage! Popping over from Country Kids. x
Thanks :) x
Love these photos and the captions to go with them! Thanks for linking up.
My pleasure, I’m on a roll at the mo when it comes to linkies :D
I always get sad when the garden turns to brown mush, as ours has today, and am willing for a fresh scattering too to pretty it up again! Lovely pics x
Me too and I fear we will have mush by the end of today unless it starts again overnight :( Glad we made the most of it yesterday x
Hehe always the dads that tip them over hey ;)
Lovely pictures!

I know! I told him to be careful as Pooh Bear was getting whingy. Will pop over to see your Country Kids post right now :) x
Awh very cute photos!x
Thank you. I was tempted for a millisecond to capture Pooh Bear’s face full of snow but he was crying too much and needed Mummy bless him x
aw snow its so fun but can quickly go from wonderful to horrid as soon as the cold kicks in to much to ignore! Hope we get some more over night tho because everything does look so nice with a layer of snow x
Yes, the grass is poking through our snow now. We didn’t have any more fall last night so looks like we’ve had our fun x
Heehee love the words on the pictures.
Dad took the boys out mostly here too. I decided to take the sleigh on the school run today – big mistake lol.
Oh no! Was it a nightmare??? Dads are good at snow related fun ;)
lovely photos
Thisdayilove
Thanks :) We were very wet and cold by the time we went in.
Brilliant photos, sledging looks so much fun, my son would love it xx
Think we will have to find a hill next time then I can have a go with them ;) x
Aaahhh bless, very cute pics. I really need to get my girls a sledge x
Be quick before it melts. You could fashion one out of a bin lid or something save buying one x
Bleurgh! Hate snow and I’m glad it’s gone.As for my kids they loved it even when their hands were red with the cold.I hope that’s the last we see of it for a long time.
:D I have memories as a child building snowmen and having red, freezing cold hands and I can’t think of anything worse now either. Now I’m old, I prefer snuggles on sofa jn the warm.
We have exactly the same problems with gloves here! Popping over from the Country Kids linky x
Pain isn’t it. He was more willing to wear them the next day though but not for long x
it looks like you you had to do quite a few circuits around the garden…….bet the kids loved it, and you slept well that night!
Yes, we went round a fair few times before Pooh Bear got tipped out :)
Snow, glorious snow. You lot look like you are having a ball
We did have fun despite my reservations about getting cold and wet. If there’s one thing children teach you, it’s to give it a go even if you don’t really fancy it and you’ll no doubt have fun :)
