We were very kindly sent a set of Giant Dominoes to review from Big Game Hunters. As Spud has just started preschool I was looking forward to having a game of dominoes with him. He loves counting so was able to match the spots and the dominoes held his attention as he loves a bit of competition! The great thing about the dominoes is that the numbers have their own colours so when Spud was finding the counting hard going (he was only 3 at the end of August) he could match the colours instead :)
I wasn’t prepared for the buzz of excitement these simple wooden blocks would cause!
Both boys loved building and stacking them and they were a lifesaver on one particular evening when my bundles of joy were in no mood for bed. If you have children you will know what it’s like trying to calm down excitable little beings just before bedtime. This one evening they were feeling particularly FULL of beans which usually involves wrestling of some description and usually ends in tears (if not the boys, mine! ; D)
I got the dominoes out and they sat and built the tallest towers and little buildings and we had a lovely, quiet, fun time.
Can’t wait until the spring when we can take them out into the garden and I imagine Spud’s plastic soldiers will love some domino forts in the grass/sand and Spud will have fun ‘Winning Mummy!’
You might like to keep in touch with Big Game Hunters on Twitter and Facebook and keep up to date on upcoming competitions and offers.
Disclosure: We were sent the Giant Dominoes to Review by GardenGames.co.uk but as always, this review ecpresses my honest opinion.

We just reviewed the Jenga type set which the boys loved playing with yesterday. These dominoes look good fun too. X
I wasn’t sure how these would go down with both boys but forgot how great their imaginations are and they loved building etc. Jenga sounds fun too. I’m not sure how long a game would last with Spud and it would literally last 3 seconds if Pooh Bear was playing :D x
